Acupuncture Denver helps Charity: Water bring clean water to students in Ethiopia!

By Alyssa Beiss, Acupuncture Denver Staff

In 2011, Acupuncture Denver started a campaign to raise money for Charity: Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to people in developing countries. The particular project our campaign supported involved getting clean water into a school in rural Ethiopia. We are so excited to have been notified that the project is now complete! The total project cost was over $18,000 and Acupuncture Denver was able to raise $1,454 of that! Thanks to the support of many of our friends and clients, as well as other organizations that helped to fund this project, 106 people (mostly kids) now have access to clean water to use in restrooms and, most importantly, to drink!

As you may know, both of Jane’s sons are from Ethiopia so projects like this one by Charity: Water are very near and dear to our hearts. We’re so grateful to have been a part of this and to everyone who supported our campaign. Check out the details of this project and others at charitywater.org.Â
