Infertility can be an enormous challenge on many levels—physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and interpersonally. But it can also be an opportunity to grow emotionally and spiritually.
TheseFREE monthly groups are a place for women to come and share their experiences and feelings with others who are facing difficulties with infertility and pregnancy loss. Jane started her first group back in 2005 in the form of her Fertile Ground yoga classes. Some women who met in those early groups are friends to this day! As the years passed, the group morphed into a support group led by various therapists and other facilitators.
In the spirit of keeping it fresh and wanting to maintain a regular monthly schedule without depending on an outside facilitator, we've decided to rebirth the group in a peer-led format. By following some ground rules that will engender a feeling of safety for all participants and by appointing a volunteer "meeting chair" each time to keep things running smoothly, we're excited to be able to offer a regular, safe space where women can support each other while navigating the ups and downs of the family-building journey.
Jane Gregorie has created this intimate 6-week women’s circle as a way to integrate body-mind practices like qigong, meditation, and breathwork with writing from the body. Class size will be limited to 8 participants to provide a safe space for sharing our stories and holding space for each other as we weave our body-stories into communal wisdom and strength to nourish us in these difficult and disconnected times. No writing, qigong, or meditation experience required. Each class will start with a brief body-mind practice followed by a few free-write sessions based on poetry prompts. We will share our words without any feedback or critique allowed. Bring an open heart, desire to connect, and readiness to tap into the wisdom of your creative subconscious.
